Welcome to Jr Chef Open Kitchen Cooking Camp — a creative, hands-on culinary experience designed for kids who are ready to take ownership in the kitchen.
This unique 5-day camp blends skill-building with creative freedom. Instead of following the same recipe each day, students learn foundational techniques and then step into the role of real chefs — planning, creating, and executing their own sweets.
Day 1: Foundations & Kitchen Safety
Students will prepare basic baking recipes as a group while learning about proper use of the equipment and kitchen safety. This day builds the confidence they’ll need for the rest of the week.
Days 2–4: Open Kitchen Challenge
The kitchen becomes their playground. Students choose from a stocked pantry featuring a variety of baking ingredients. With guidance from instructors, they’ll design and cook their own baked goods — practicing creativity, time management and presentation. Each day offers a new opportunity to experiment and refine their skills.
Day 5: Signature Recipe Showcase
For the grand finale, each student will plan and develop their own “Signature Recipe” They’ll create a written plan, organize ingredients, execute their recipe and present it with confidence — just like a professional chef.
Registration is for one child and each child needs their own registration. This is a drop off class and parents are not permitted in class. Recommended ages for this camp is 9-12 years old.
Class is held from 9a - 12p starting on Monday, July 13th and ending on Friday, July 17th.
