If your chef has a passion for science, this camp will provide a delicious adventure! During each class, students will learn to cook and bake delicious foods but also learn the how and why behind it all. Concepts taught in class include: chemical reactions that occur when food is cooked, why and how yeast works in bread baking, water evaporation with candy making and the role important baking ingredients (such as baking soda, eggs and liquid) play in our recipes. Class menus will include: chicken sandwiches w/ freshly made bread, homemade caramel and chocolate ganache, chicken tacos with homemade salsa, bake and fried donuts and much more! Class is recommended for ages 10 and up.
